The Corodur Verschleiss-Schutz GmbH Thale is a medium-sized enterprise with at present 85 employees thereof are 13 apprentices. The company is guided personally by their shareholders.

In the year 2008 a turnover of 17,6 million € was earned, with a continously growing export of at present 42%.

The preferences of the company lie in the close connection of:
- material development, using synergy effects from the powder metalurgucal competence centre Thale, together with
- the quickest possible production of hardfacing materials in the own company and the
- production suitable application in the own coating center in the area of wear,- corrosion,- and surface-technology

Foundation of the Corodur Verschleiss-Schutz GmbH Thale as subsidiary company of the Corodur Fülldraht GmbH Krefeld and starting the cored wire production.

January 1993

Starting with the production of sintered-strip electrodes for the submerged arc-welding and RES- welding technology

June 1993

Setup of a development unit for Plasma Powder Hardfacing (PTA) together with the ISAF Goslar of the TU Clausthal-Zellerfeld

May 1996

Construction of a production hall for enlargment of welding services like PTA; submerged arc and MIG/MAG hardfacing with new developed materials

Starting with the production of wear plates

Separation from the parent company Corodur Fülldraht GmbH Krefeld by the buying of their shares on the Corodur Verschleiss-Schutz GmbH
